Merhchant Ships/trading trucks

Why are their not Merchant ships in this game? Hell the sinking of a merchant ship was ONE of the causes to start World War I.

Lets say a a country makes a trade with another country that has ocean between them, immanently a Merchant ship would appear, and start sailing to that country. The default route would be the fastest to way to the other country, you could edit the route but its final destination has to be the country you traded with or else it will choose the default route. You could also hold up the merchant ship so that you could stack some defenses to it.

Stats.

Speed:If we wanted to go by Real life merchant ships we be half the speed as battleships, but for the sake of the game I think they should be the same speed as battleships.

Cargo: Each ship should be able to hold up to 10,000 tons on whatever (if more than 10,000 tons are traded the merchant ships can be stacked, or they can be split up)

Now this would be a nice feature to the game because, well I'll show you.

*Greenland and England are in a cold war as Greenland is looking to attack Canada, an ally of England. England has a superior fleet, but Greenland has his navy lined up in a very good defense formation and rail gun emplacements making losses high if not a defeated for the English fleet. Greenland is having a good oil trade with its middle eastern ally. England thus decided to cut off its oil supply by blockading Greenland. England then lines up it ships and sets its ships to a "blockade" option which sinks any incoming merchant ships to Greenland as well as outgoing. The crippling effect of oil loss makes it impossible for Greenland to keep producing anymore battleships while England keeps on chugging them out. This would force Greenland either to attack and punch a hold in the blockade with its inferior fleet or force them to peace talks.*

Look you have just crippled a country into submission with out losing a single man.

But creating a blockade isn't easy, you have to have a large fleet to encircle the country or at least their area open to the sea, also by doing this Greenland's middle eastern ally wont like the fact it just wasted oil and won't get its money, so England might have just made another enemy. You can also work around this by, another example.

*The Philippines have just blockaded Burmese ports, not its crucial grain supply from Dutch East Indies cannot happen, but a large super power such as Siam is at odds with the Philippines. Dutch then asks Siam if they could unload their supplies at Siam and then truck in the supplies over land. It will take longer, but the Philippines are either forced into either blockading Dutch and spreading out their fleet even farther, or blockade Siam.

Look you just worked you way around a blockade.

Now with trucks, their the same speed as the armored cars and can be stacked with any units, same thing as the merchant ship with routes.

Stats

Cargo Truck convoy could hold 5,000 tons per convoy.

Speed: as fast as armored cars.

To stop trucks from going through your land just un-do the RoW with that country.

Now merchant ships/trucks would have a delay on you trade, as it wouldn't be instant and to trade with a landlocked country would require RoW's.

Subs would also play a LARGE factor in blockades for obvious reasons.

Now I am not pushing this to be in all games, I would like to see it as a Gold Round feature, as changing the game this much would have severe problems.
