Player Discontent

It seems to me that Bytro's monetary policies have been earning the ire of the non-GM player base for many months now. It seems that each new gold-mark development just pushes the entire discussion further into controversy; in every thread discussing gold-mark features I've only read what seems to be an uproar of dissatisfaction.

Has Bytro not noticed this or are they merely overlooking it? I'd really like to hear from one of them, or someone representing them, on what exactly their opinion to this overwhelmingly negative reaction is?

I suspect that the people I hear from are merely a 'vocal minority' and that the 'silent majority' doesn't really care and spends enough goldmark that Bytro doesn't really care to address the negative press, but how long do they expect to continue developing this economic model in an exploitative direction? Are you guys truly so busy that you can't be bothered to log on to your own forums every once in a while and see what the players think of your game?

Even if it's just a public service representative (which strikes me as comically pretentious), I'd like to hear from someone from the development team. Opinions from others are welcome as well.
