Greetings, Members of Supremacy 1914. To the Devs, as well as the moderators, and the playerbase whom reads this, I present his humbly, a way to make a more realistic game that can be optional, or GM based, thus this game will be more enjoyable. I present an expanded naval unit list, Properly thought out and created for your benefit.
I present these Units:
Battleship: The Battleship will largely remain the same, but its time lengthened to four days, and it will require more cash and oil. And some more coal, largely because realistically, if other units in game exist, then naturally this will have to be changed. Its stats(attack, range) also remain the same.
-The battleship is the Main Core unit and Bombardment of coastline/Blockade unit.
Dreadnought:
This unit is a Flagship. It has massive armor, and thus can withstand multiple Battleships, destroyers, and even a few submarines. It lacks however most against Destroyers in massive numbers.
-It has the firepower obviously of a battleship and barely a bit more. Its horribly slow, more so than a rail gun, but it has an ability. Other ships not in stack, but near it, receive a slight firepower boost.
Destroyer:
This unit is cheaper than the normal battleship of todays time. It is weak against Battleships and dreadnoughts, but acts to kill Frigates, inflict Submarine damage if in extremely high numbers, and so forth. It is a quick, fast unit. I have established the "Rail Gun" of Naval battles(Dreadnought:Extremely slow, Expensive, but massive firepower and capable of turning the tide of Naval Battles), And the Battleship is the = of a Tank, thus now I must present the, Armored Car or Infantry? It is quite easy to produce en masse, early on but however has weak Armor, meaning by itself it cannot hope to sustain long against Battleships, and esp not a Dreadnought. Only in massive, massive numbers is it worthwhile by itself.
So far:
We have established the Naval Flagship, the Core strong unit, and the main regular unit. The Dreadnought even by day 150, by a person whom has unified all of Africa and Europe, will be unable to spam even thirty of these. Destroyers will be quite important, due to that they are support units for Battleships, and will become great...Important units.
Frigate:
This unit is unable to fight against Dreadnoughts due to its armor, and inflicts barely any damage upon a Battleship. Thus, even 17 Frigates would be able to destroy a Battleship. Now, this unit can also fight Destoyers, but is weaker, and it would be like 5 Frigates kill 1 Destroyer. Now, Its a mainly support unit to safeguard your fleets against Submarines, and thus is effective against them. Same as Destroyer, but perhaps more pricey in cash?
Submarines:
These units in massive numbers will kill Dreadnoughts, Battleships, and with equal Frigates vs Destroyers, most likely and easily kill the the Destroyers. They are weak against Frigates, but in superior numbers can kill them. (Like 8 Subs vs 3 Frigates, though you might lose two subs, you still win, but your remaining are still damaged).
Furthermore, If the above is accepted, I suggest this:
Landing Craft:
Infantry are used to reinforce naval units or weaken others, and redirect fire. I doubt in realism, infantry swam. So I suggest they cannot travel across water unless they have "LC's". They will be about a 4k five hundred cash, some oil, alot of coal, and so forth. It will also require more wood than iron ore(Making that vital, or should it be Iron?). 1 Landing craft can carry 15 Infantry. They are also quite vulnerable to railguns and such.
If the Above is suggested, I suggest this:
That the said features of LC's and navies, if not to be accepted, then with an optional pay 25k GM by Game Admin to be put in a free game, thus allowing all to benefit.
If all is approved, so be it.
