So, when combining my shared love for S1914 and over-reaching analogy, I’ve come to the conclusion that dating, particularly from the male perspective, may be in many ways similar to a round of S1914…
Take for example when you start out; you go about engaging in bold conquests, taking out everyone you get the opportunity to. You select these nations by your attraction to their voluptuous resources and how easily said nation might give them up.
As time goes on however and your country matures, you generally find yourself more selective. Easy conquests start to look a little, well, boring, and all those options that you once had as a young vibrant nation have long since been claimed by yourself or others.
You’re older now, larger, and your continent no longer fits like it used to. You’re left with only a small number of decent long-term options. In the very end you can choose to settle down and retire with a suitable nation or you and that last remaining power can go out savagely destroying each other, just as most couples do in real life.
Thoughts?
