In a current game (day 13) someone did no attacks at all so far, but collected all his units in one stack and is about to attack me. He has an all-infantry army of 200+. My army is somewhat smaller so I can't face him openly.
Do I just fall back and wait? Or do I counterattack in province that he emptied? The last option will mean I do economic damage to him as well, but will ofc mean I get an even weaker chance to defeat his main army.
In the same game someone did a similar thing: sat back untill he had about 200, then toured his neighbour with that stack and annexed him. I think it's a bit silly if the most successfull strategy of the early game is to just sit back and build a hughe stack, but perhaps I'm overlooking something?
