I think that one huge role in world war 1 is that there was always experienced troops on the field. I also believe the rank and strategy of officers in a war change the tide of battle. Once an army gets to a certain amount of men or Xp, it deserves to get a general or a officer, if anything, it needs something to lead it. Also, xp is another thing needed. In this game the only winning factors is Army size, and Army morale. Officers and xp can change that in an army. Lets say, I lose 20,000 men. Well, I have to wait for my territory to remake those men, or, the xp in my army can help my men fight more efficiently. ;D But it sucks to always wait for my armys to regroup, it also sucks, when i have an army that can kick butt, but still gets caught off guard and they die.
